The terraces grew out of Hamburg squatter and punk culture around the Hafenstrasse, and this was the first German club to formally ban fascist, racist and homophobic symbols from its ground. Wearing the skull and crossbones is read as a political statement, not just a team badge, so understand the politics before you put it on.

beIN Sports (France)Exclusive rights to the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga in France through 2028-29, announced by the league itself. Exclusive means it is the only legal option, not that every St. Pauli fixture is shown, so check the weekly schedule.
Bundesliga on YouTube (UK and Ireland)Every Friday-evening match from both divisions, free, in the UK and Ireland. Saturday and Sunday second-division fixtures have no confirmed UK broadcaster.
No league pass in EuropeThe league runs its own streaming pass, but it has only launched in India, Vietnam and South Africa. There is nothing to buy directly from the league in France or the UK.

How to join

Membership, and the cheap tier is the one for youA registered members association with 55,340 members as of February 2026. Standard membership is 11 euros a month, but the reduced rate of 6 euros a month applies to anyone whose main residence is more than 100 km from the Millerntor, which is every foreign applicant. The club does not spell out how it collects fees from a non-German bank account, so expect one email about that. A season ticket is a separate queue and effectively out of reach from abroad.

The shirt
