Following Wrexham from abroad

Checked 14 September 2026

A Welsh club that has always played in the English pyramid, which bars it from the Welsh Cup and leaves the English route as its only path to Europe. Three consecutive promotions from the fifth tier took it to the Championship, a first in English football, and the ground holds barely twelve thousand, so arrive expecting something much smaller and louder than top-flight football.

Where to watch

  • beIN Sports MAX (France)Shows selected Championship fixtures including Wrexham. beIN keeps its own Wrexham team page, which is the best place to check a given week.
  • iFollow, the league's own serviceMatch pass 10 pounds, month 25, season 180 outside the UK. Read the blackout rule first, below.
  • The blackout that catches people outIn the Championship, any match picked up by an overseas broadcaster or Sky is blacked out on iFollow in that territory. The rule lifting blackouts for 2026-27 covers the third and fourth tiers only. In France that plausibly means the beIN fixtures are the ones iFollow will not sell you, which the league does not state outright.
  • Welcome to Wrexham, on Disney+Streams in France as Bienvenue à Wrexham. How the club found most of its foreign support, and a fair introduction to the town.

Where to read

  • Official siteEnglish, naturally.
  • RedPassionFan forum and former paper fanzine, running since the mid-1990s. Predates the documentary by twenty-five years.
  • Wrexham Supporters TrustThe body that owned the club from 2011 until the 2021 takeover. Useful for understanding what the fans actually saved.
  • Fearless in DevotionSupporter podcast and fanzine, Football Supporters Association club podcast of the year 2024. The same team writes the Wrexham is the Game newsletter.

Where to talk

  • RedPassion forumThe longest-running fan forum, and where membership schemes get picked apart.
  • Wrexham Supporters FederationThe umbrella body for club-recognised fan groups since 2007, with groups in Germany, Norway, Iceland, Ukraine, Thailand, Australia and Dubai. No French group is documented, and the federation recognises new ones, so there is a gap to fill.

How to join

  • Global Membership, if it still existsThe club launched an overseas tier in July 2024 at 50 pounds for adults, expressly so fans could join from anywhere, with a card, a ticket allocation and a shop discount. We could not confirm on the club's own page that it still runs under that name for 2026-27, and found one claim that it has ended that we could not corroborate either way. Check the page before paying, and treat our figure as the 2024 launch price.

The shirt

  • Official shopLists France among its ship-to destinations. Note that a second site run by the kit maker Macron also calls itself the official store, and we could not work out which is primary, so compare both before ordering.

Official club store, never an affiliate link. Broadcast rights change every season, so tell us at the foot of the page if something here is wrong.
